Privacy
Plain-language. NueHere handles two sensitive things — your calendar and, in New Here, groups of strangers — so here's exactly how we treat them.
What we collect
Your name and email (from Google sign-in). If you use New Here, also your ZIP code and your quiz answers(activities, energy, when you're generally free, age range and the ages you'd like to be grouped with, travel radius, and any optional communities).
We use these only to run the app: to sign you in, to match you into a nearby group, and to coordinate plans within your groups.
Your calendar — free/busy only
Connecting Google Calendar is optional and asked for later, never at sign-in. When you do connect it, we read only your free/busy times— when you're busy, not whatyou're doing. We never see event titles, descriptions, locations, or guests.
Others in your group only ever see a derived “free” or “busy” for a time block — never your actual calendar.
Availability sharing is opt-in and scoped per group
In a New Here group, your availability is only used after you explicitly opt in, and only within that one group. It's never shared with other groups or people outside it, and you can stop sharing anytime.
New Here matching itself never uses your calendar — groups are formed from your quiz answers and distance only. Availability comes in only after a group exists.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising. We use Google (sign-in + calendar free/busy) and Resend (email) to operate the app, and that's it.
Safety and control
New Here groups are people you haven't met, so report and blockare built in — block someone and you'll never be matched with them again. Group and invite pages are excluded from search engines. You can leave any group at any time.
